To get to Raja Ampat, tourists must first travel by air to Sorong City.

However, it is important to choose an airline and a route to take. Some airlines have transit routes with longer flight times. Airfares with transit routes are also more expensive, starting from 3 million rupiah (210$)  to 7 million rupiah (490$) one way.

However, currently several airlines offer direct flights to Sorong. The fare is also cheaper, some even offer up to 2.2 million rupiah (155$) one way. Towards Raja Ampat from Sorong After arriving in Sorong City, tourists can use a speed boat to Waisai City, in Raja Ampat. There are two tariff options, namely IDR 100,000 (7$) for economy class and IDR 215,000 (15$) for executive class.

Fast boats for crossings are available daily. To enter Raja Ampat, local tourists who come for the first time must pay an entrance ticket of IDR 500,000 (35$). Meanwhile, foreign tourists amounted to 1 million rupiah(70$).

Arriving at the port of Waisai City, tourists can rent a taxi. Usually, tourists are charged IDR. 100,000 (7$) for a one-time transfer to a hotel or inn. For those who want to rent a car or minibus, the cost is around IDR 700,000 (49$) to IDR 800,000 (55$) per day. The price includes the driver and gasoline as long as the car is used. c.) Choose lodging

Before leaving for Raja Ampat, make sure you first reserve a room for a place to stay. Raja Ampat does not yet have many star hotel facilities.

However, there are many lodging options, ranging from homestays to resorts which are usually located on the beach. Choosing lodging can also cut travel costs. For homestays, the rates offered are around IDR 300,000 (21$) to IDR 400,000 (28$). The price usually includes 3 meals.

In addition, many homestays are huts with roofs of leaves and wooden walls. Resorts are usually made more modern with fairly complete facilities. The rates offered start from 1 million rupiah (70$)  to  2 million rupiah (140$)  per person. The price difference is of course adjusted to the various facilities offered.

For those who already have a diving license, you can directly order a diving package for IDR 800,000 (55$)  to IDR 1 million (70$).  For those who do not have a license, they can attend training and get a license at a cost of around Rp. 3 million (208$)  to Rp. 5 million (348$). For those who want more affordable and easier, can enjoy snorkeling in Raja Ampat. Snorkeling costs around IDR 150,000 (11$). The fee is to rent equipment such as masks, goggles, snorkels, and fins. In addition to underwater tourism, there are other tourist spots such as pools in cliffs, Kalibiru in the middle of the interior, and bird tours. The rates charged vary, ranging from IDR 100,000 (7$) to IDR 150,000 (11$).
